Welcome, friends, members and visitors to the Unitarian Universalist Religious Education Program.
Let us say this about Unitarian Universalists:
We strive to be a “community of religious persons,” more than a “religious community”
We strive for authenticity more than righteousness
We strive to nurture individuality, community and love; love being our wish for you to be you.
We believe being “a faith that people make” will serve us in the future as it has in the past.
Our religious education program offers a comprehensive look at all of the world’s faith traditions and encompasses so much more than merely memorizing stories and verses. Children leave our programs knowing how to make wise decisions. They struggle with the questions we all do regarding our faith—Who am I? What is my purpose? How do I want to live my life? They may not find every answer while they are here, but they will be embraced by a community that will nurture them along the way to finding truth and meaning in their own lives. You will not find a specific creed or dogma to follow at the UU church, but you will find a way of living and a community to support you on your way.
Our teachers are professionally trained educators and bring many years’ experience to our religious education program. Their dedication and love for your child will be evident the first time and every time they enter church school.
