SmallGarden

Rev. Emily Wright-Magoon is available to officiate weddings, memorial services, and other rites of passage. Her specialty is creating ceremonies that meet unique needs and embrace different (or no) religious backgrounds. You can contact her at minister@uumidland.org. As the minister of the church, Rev. Wright-Magoon has first right to officiate all ceremonies and services, but permission can often be given if a different officiant is desired.Garden2

Our sanctuary seats up to 150 people. Our fellowship hall is great for a reception, party, lecture, retreat, or meeting. Our clean and well stocked kitchen is off of the fellowship hall. On the north side of the building, we have four classrooms with two bathrooms and a kitchenette. Our gardens were created in 2015 and provide a gorgeous venue for many events. Our South garden has a patio, pergola, benches, fountain, lawn, and beautifully landscaped beds. It works very well for a reception, party, or just photos after an event.

Active Members and Friends – Room fees are not required for active members and friends to reserve church space for life passage events (e.g., weddings, funerals, memorial services), but a donation to the Minister’s Discretionary Fund is always appreciated. Members must be pledging members for six months before fees are waived. For other private events (e.g., family parties), room fees may be discounted. For all events, the scheduling deposit and cleanup fees will be applied (with possible exceptions for funerals and memorial services).

Nonprofit and Support Groups – The Minister or the Board of Directors may approve discounted fees for some groups in this category on a case by case basis. For all events, the scheduling deposit and key/cleanup fees will be applied.

Frequent Users – Groups who use the church on a regular basis (for at least 8 weeks of the church fiscal year) may receive a “frequent use” discount of 10% off the listed room rates if paid at least quarterly. Discounts apply only to groups paying full fees.
